Emotions.

A slash, a scar
Bringing pain, and grieve
The truth, remains untold
The secrets, remain hushed
The clock keeps ticking
The tinkles from a wind chime
The light from the full moon
The sound of the night
She walks down the lane
Across the bridge to the riverbank
Far away from the memories
From what led her to dejection
She wanders clueless
God knows what her future holds
In her hands she sees nothing
Thus, her tears began to fall
Flashbacks flew by
She remembers the pain
She remembers each deed
She remembers the greed
She fell to the ground
Small and vulnerable
The pain was too much to hold
The revenge was too painful to bear
The infidelity and the torment
It drove her to her last resort
With a gash on her wrist
Thus she crumpled and bled
Weaker she grew till she could bleed no more
She stared up into the sky for one last time
The stars tinkled and the moon shone
But she's giving it all up
And thus she was gone
On a lonely night by the riverbank.

    this is truely a masterpiece!
    the imagery is breathtaking!
the emotion so thick i can slice it with a knife!

I needed to read the poem twice to fully visualise it...
    so depressing... so sad...
you have written a piece that moves people to emotion...
    well done!
